Devin Booker finds himself, once again, at the helm of a KD-less ship. With Durant sidelined, Booker garners additional ball-handling and offensive-creation duties. So far he’s averaging 8 APG in the two games that Durant’s missed. Fortunately, the Suns are sitting pretty on a 9-2 record in the loaded West. That doesn’t mean Booker will have any room to breathe.

Points 28.5 (Over -110 / Under -120): Booker’s shot feels a little off this season. Last season he shot a sweltering 49.2% from the field, but this season that figure has come down to 43.9%. Book’s due for some positive regression soon, but the Kings won’t be an easy target for him to recoup those percentages. In his matchup against the Kings on the 10th, Booker scored 23 points shooting 41% from the field. He also hit 3/10 of his attempts from beyond the arc. I’m comfortable taking the over on Booker for this matchup; I expect his shooting to come back to his typical levels sooner rather than later. There will be increased defensive attention on Booker in KD’s absence, but his volume should offset that.
Assists 7.5 (Over +126 / Under -162:) Booker’s playmaking has been noticeably improving since he entered the league. This season he’s averaging a career-high 7 APG, which feels likely to stick given his increased offensive duties. I’d prefer to take the over here in what should be a high-scoring affair between two high-powered offenses.
Rebounds 4.5 (Over +126 / Under -162:) Coming off two sub-three rebound performances against the Jazz and the Kings, I’d expect Booker to fall short of 5 boards here as well. I don’t expect Book to frequently be in the mix fighting for loose boards and it’s unlikely he’s incentivized to crash the boards too much anyway, given he’s typically going to bring up the ball to start the full-court transition offense.
Threes 2.5 (Over -175 / Under +135): Booker is averaging his highest attempts from three-point distance since entering the league, launching 8.2 per game and cashing just 34.4% of them. This is below his career average by a hair, yet Booker is still averaging 2.8 makes per game in this department, higher than his 2.5 O/U. I’m going over here, as well.
