The Timberwolves have struggled lately, losing two consecutive games this week. They most recently dropped the first game of a back-to-back series against the Trail Blazers in Portland. The second matchup between the clubs is tonight, Nov. 13.

Edwards has been on a slight slump in the past two games when considering his elite standard of play. The two-time All-Star scored 22 points on 33.3 percent shooting and 26 points on 42.1 percent shooting in back-to-back games.
The latter was against the Trail Blazers last night in a 14-point loss. Even with a below average night, Edwards almost cleared this prop line. He gets another chance tonight as the Timberwolves play the Trail Blazers for the third time in four games.
Portland has the 23rd best defensive rating in the NBA, and Edwards is still ascending in the NBA world. He’s going to return to MVP form and has a great opportunity to do so on this back to back.
A major weakness for Portland’s defense is its inability to defend three-pointers. Opponents shoot 37.3 percent from deep on 40.3 attempts per game, which are both ranked 27th in the NBA. Edwards has been excellent on three-pointers this season, making this a perfect matchup for him.
The Timberwolves star is shooting 45.3 percent from distance on 11.6 attempts per game. It’s almost double the amount of threes he took per game last year, while increasing his efficiency by nearly 10 percentage points.
Over the last three contests, Edwards has attempted 13.0 three-pointers per game. Expect that number to remain high against a weak perimeter defensive unit in Portland. Edwards will clear the 26.5 points prop this way.
