It has been a disastrous start for the 76ers without Embiid as they sit at 2-7 with both of their wins coming in overtime. It has been a bit more up-and-down for the Knicks who sit at 4-5. New York will show flashes of brilliance—such as in their blowout win over the Bucks—but then follow that up with a horrific defensive performance like their last game against the Pacers.

It is unclear how many minutes Embiid will play in his first game back, but when he’s on the floor, he will make it really tough for Towns to score in the paint. That will require Brunson to create magic like he did in the postseason against Philadelphia. Brunson scored 39 or more points in the final four games of that series and while this is just the In-Season Tournament, Brunson might treat it personally like a playoff game. The energy in the building should be intense for this rivalry matchup with Embiid coming back for Philadelphia. Brunson should feed off of that energy and have a huge performance where he clears his points prop of 25.5.
