The Unabated NBA team, led by industry veteran Justin Phan, currently projects key Raptors guard Immanuel Quickley to have a 50% chance to play with his status currently marked as Questionable. Quickley just returned to the rotation after a pelvic injury following a fall on the court but a new elbow sprain has popped up that could knock him out again.
Quickley has dominated the ball this season with a 30.1% usage rate and 27% assist rate along with 1.1 DraftKings Points Per Minute. His absence, along with the ongoing one for Scottie Barnes, would open up a lot of possessions in this Raptors’ NBA Cup opener at Milwaukee.
If Quickley is in, Unabated’s Conditional NBA Projections have him at 17.9 points, four rebounds and six assists. He’s likely an overpriced DraftKings play at a $7,300 salary.
If Quickley is out, he’d have the following impact on his top teammates’ projections:
- RJ Barrett projects for 23.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 6 assists (If Quickley is in, 22 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.6 assists)
- Jakob Poeltl projects for 13.4 points, 10.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists (if Quickley is in, 12.5 points, 10.6 rebounds and 3 assists)
For Barrett in particular, he’d look substantially more playable at his $8,300 DraftKings salary if Quickley were out.
In addition to the DFS ramifications, Unabated’s NBA prop simulator projects 18.3% expected value on DraftKings Sportsbook’s current RJ Barrett over 32.5 PRAs line at -110 odds if Quickley were ruled out.
