Jalen Hurts ($16,500)
After a few weeks of treading water, Jalen Hurts has officially reclaimed fantasy cheat code status. With both elite weapons on the outside healthy, a dominant offensive line, and a superstar opposite him in the backfield, Hurts putting up mind-boggling stats was only a matter of time. During Philadelphia’s five-game win streak, the signal-caller has 16 total touchdowns compared to just two turnovers. Eight of those scores came on the ground, elevating him into rarified DFS air.
The “tush push” might’ve lost some of its luster, but it’s still one of the surest bets in sports. When the offense is on the precipice of the goal line, it feels like an automatic six points, with Hurts as the primary beneficiary. Even though he’s prone to some head-scratching mistakes at times, he still has the safest floor of all captain candidates.
Saquon Barkley ($15,900)
Who would’ve thought a move from the least to the most functional NFC East franchise would be a massive boost to Saquon Barkley’s career? Barkley is still the same super-athlete who went second overall in 2018, but he’s in an infrastructure that can properly harness his talents. He’s a violent runner and a home run waiting to happen, and he has shined as a high-end bell cow in Philly.
He had an underwhelming showing in the dismantling of Dallas last week, but was dealing with an issue with his left forearm. The only thing holding back consistent fantasy point explosions is Hurts being a vulture in the red zone and stealing his touchdown opportunities. If Barkley can find paydirt, his ceiling becomes a fantasy dream. Washington has a good front seven but will struggle to contain Barkley for long, so he’s due for a stellar bounce-back performance.
Jayden Daniels ($15,600)
Jayden Daniels is pure electricity. The rookie gunslinger has been must-watch television, dicing up defenses and giving the fans in Washington much-needed hope. He hasn’t been as efficient as a passer in recent weeks, but his willingness to hurl the rock downfield to his playmakers and his ability with his legs help balance that out.
He’s already one of the best quarterbacks in the league and has had only one real stinker performance on the campaign. Daniels is going against a Philadelphia group that has stepped up in recent weeks, but this Commanders attack continues to impress regardless of the opponent. He offers a similar high-end option to Hurts, but at a slight discount.
