Anthony Davis got poked in the eye in Sunday’s win over the Raptors, limiting the big man to only 25.5 minutes, but Davis told the media his eye is “fine” and that he will play Wednesday vs. the Grizzlies.
Davis has been a monster this season, averaging a career-high 31.2 points, to go along with 10.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.3 steals per game. The Kentucky product is shooting a career-best 57% from the field and he is handling a 31.8% usage rate, which is the largest rate Davis has averaged in eight years.
Memphis’ defense has been stout this season, ranking second in efficiency, but they are leading the league in pace, still making this an ideal spot Davis. The big man will be a strong DFS option and his overs on the DraftKings Sportsbook will be props to consider, as they may be slightly depressed with Davis coming off an injury scare.
