Here are some streams we can consider.
Stream ’em
Jay Huff, C, Memphis Grizzlies
Jay Huff is a 27-year-old on a two-way contract for the Grizzlies. He’s also quietly putting up top-50 value. He’s not actually this valuable, as his turnovers – or lack thereof – are driving his value here, but he’s still worth a look in all leagues. Huff is averaging 10.4 PPG with 1.9 BPG with amazing percentages on low minutes. Even as Zach Edey’s backup, he still should be on a roster.
Ousmane Dieng, C, Oklahoma City Thunder
Chet Holmgren recently went down with a brutal pelvic injury that will sideline him for at least eight to 10 weeks. Holmgren’s injury, coupled with newly-acquired Isaiah Hartenstein’s injury is a brutal blow to the surging Thunder roster currently gunning for a top seed in a very competitive Western conference. Holmgren’s absence will open up opportunities for Ousmane Dieng.
I’m not particularly excited about Dieng’s spot here, but given the Thunder’s lack of interior size, they’ll have to play Dieng at least during their matchups against bigger opposing centers. Over his career, Dieng has averaged 12.6 PPG and 6 RPG per 36 minutes on 41.5% FG.
Jared McCain, PG, Philadelphia 76ers
The window of opportunity has swung wide open for the 16th overall pick. McCain, in the wake of Tyrese Maxey’s absence, can show the league what he can do. He dazzled in the 76ers’ latest game, an overtime thriller against the Hornets in which he put up 27 points on 10/18 shooting. Maxey will miss a few weeks and McCain will soak up his usage. Don’t make the mistake of grabbing Kyle Lowry here. McCain should get some nice, efficient buckets once Joel Embiid returns on Tuesday.
