NFL Week 10 is almost in the books, pending Monday night’s matchup, but the opening odds for Week 11 are up on DraftKings Sportsbook and it’s time to give a looky-loo.
No games in foreign lands. USA! USA! USA!
There are four teams on bye: ARI, CAR, NYG and TB.
On Thursday night, get your popcorn ready because we have two of the hottest quarterbacks in the land going head-to-head: Jayden Daniels vs. Jalen Hurts. Daniels is second only to Lamar Jackson in Total EPA. The Eagles have now won five straight and sit atop the NFC East. The Commanders lost a tough one to the Steelers in Week 10, but are only one game back in the loss column to Philly.
The early Sunday slate consists of eight games. DET is a whopping -13 favorite at home against JAX. They are the biggest favorites of the weekend. There are three gamse within a field goal.
The late-afternoon slate consists of three games. Two of the games are within 1.5 points while SF is -7 over SEA.
The night game pits the Chargers hosting the Bengals, two diametrically opposed teams. LA wants to ground-and-pound you into submission while CIN wants Burrow to fling JDAMs into the waiting arms of the talented receiving core.
Monday Night Football has the Dallas Cowboys against the Houston Texans in Dallas. The Cowboys just got crushed by the Eagles, 34-6, and it wasn’t even that close.

The battle for NFC East supremacy. No one would’ve envisioned that scenario before the start of the season, but the Savior Jayden Daniels has invigorated hope in the nation’s capital, something that is much needed in these times. That said, the schedule has been full of cupcakes for Washington, so this will be a true test of where they stand. The Eagles haven’t navigated a murderer’s row either, so this should be an entertaining one.

Love is in the air. Oh, definitely not in Chicago as there is nothing but hatred after the Bears lost in humiliating fashion to the Patriots in Week 10, 19-3, putting the bow on a three-game losing streak. Green Bay is coming off their bye week. The only solace could be that the Packers may be looking ahead to their next three games against SF, MIA and DET.

So you’re telling me there’s a chance? Detroit is playing Sunday night, so barring any significant injuries, this game could be their second bye week. The Jaguars were predictably inept with Mac Jones at quarterback in Week 10 and he may continue getting the call because Trevor Lawrence may be done for the season.

Remember when people were shouting Sam Darnold for MVP? Those were good times. Darnold is coming off a game in which he threw three interceptions against the lowly Jaguars, but the Vikings got the W. Tennessee is overmatched and only has one win on the season, but they play hard and tough. That said, Will Levis is back under center and he may crumble from the expected pressure that the Vikings D will bring.

The Dolphins have lost the last two games with Tua Tagovailoa under center, but they were close losses to two very good teams. The Raiders are not a good team and this one could get ugly. The Bengals just put a 41-spot on the Raiders D and a 50-burger wouldn’t surprise me by the Dolphins.

There is hope emanating from the shadows in Boston, as Drake Maye has shown some things. He’s still a rookie that does rookie things at times, though. The Rams have won three straight out of the bye and are healthy on offense. LA does play on Monday night, so it’s a shorter week than normal and they have to travel east.

Jameis Winston was supposed to be the savior for the Browns. Instead, he was a false prophet in Week 9, but the Chargers have a good defense and Winston is always prone to have bad games. We can never count him out lighting up the scoreboard against anyone. The Saints found their Carr again, and he’s guided them to a 1-1 record. The range of outcomes seems extremely wide for this one.

The Jets got eviscerated by the Cardinals in Arizona. This was supposed to be a good matchup for Aaron Rodgers, but he just doesn’t have anymore juice. The Jets pass defense has been good for most of the season, but Kyle Murray put on a master class in slicing and dicing. This gives some hope for Joe Flacco, who has struggled over the last two games, but the rushing ability of Murray may have opened up some things that won’t be there for Flacco.

All is right in the world, as the Steelers and Ravens are both playing good football. Pittsburgh currently sits top of the AFC North at 7-2 while Baltimore is right below at 7-3. The Steelers always play good defense, but the Russell Wilson-led offense has put up 37, 26 and 28 points. Baltimore is one of the most balanced teams in the league and can beat anyone on any given Sunday. They can also lose to any team on any given Sunday. This should be a great one.

I’ve been really impressed with Denver this season. Sure, they have been inconsistent, but they play good defense and can do things on offense, although they are not the most explosive team. Baltimore beat them down 41-10 two weeks ago, but that game was closer than the final score indicated. They should’ve gotten the W in Kansas City this past Sunday, but the gods enjoy Patrick Mahomes and Taylor Swift too much. Atlanta has pieces on offense, but this could be a tough one for them, having to travel to Denver.

The NFC West is a tightly packed division. ARI is atop with a 6-4 record. SF is 5-4, LA is 4-4 and SEA is 4-5. Scoring points hasn’t usually been a problem for Seattle, although, the offense has sputtered the last two weeks, scoring 10 against BUF and 20 against LAR. The more pressing issue is the defense, though. These teams met in Week 6 with SF getting the 36-24 win. Without Christian McCaffrey. He’s back now.

KC is still undefeated. Some may say they are a team of destiny. Others could counter that they have just been getting lucky. It’s probably somewhere in the middle, but wins are wins, the defense has been playing well and that guy Patrick Mahomes is still under center. They get a big test against a Bills team that is also humming, having scored at least 30 points in each of the last four games. Josh Allen struggled against KC last time in the playoffs, going 26-of-39 for 186 yards and a touchdown, but he did rush 12 times for 72 yards and two touchdowns.

CIN is sixth in passing rate. LAC is 24th. The Chargers also have the better defense, but Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase and company are extremely potent. Could they get the Chargers out of their shell?

Houston, you look like your problems are subsiding as Nico Collins will likely be back for this one. Dallas on the other hand. It’s getting ugly. It got so bad in Week 10 that Trey Lance made an appearance.
