For Week 10’s Sunday Night Football Matchup, the Texans host the Lions. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Detroit is favored by 3.5 points and the game carries a total of 49.5 points.
Below, I have featured my favorite Joe Mixon prop to consider from this contest.
Best Joe Mixon Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Joe Mixon O 17.5 rush attempts (-130)
This line is way too low for Mixon. The veteran has been a true workhorse back for the Texans this season, leading all running backs in carries per game with 21. If we exclude Week 2, when Mixon sprained his ankle and did not return to the game, the back has recorded at least 24 rush attempts in four of his five starts this season.
Texans’ backup running back Dameon Pierce (groin) will remain sidelined for the second straight game and with him absent in Week 9, Mixon saw 24 of Houston’s 28 running back carries in its loss to the Jets, which is an 85.7% rush share.
Mixon has now seen 25 and 24 carries in the Texans’ two losses he has been active for this season. This is important to note, as Houston is an underdog for its matchup tonight with the Lions. No matter the case, the Texans make a clear effort to use Mixon heavily as a rusher whenever he is active and attacking him to go over 17.5 carries is an easy call for this Sunday Night Football matchup.
