Demarcus Robinson ($5,600)
Demarcus Robinson was the hero last weekend in Seattle, reeling in a one-handed walk-off touchdown to give his squad the crucial divisional victory. It was the highlight of a career afternoon, where he snagged six catches for 94 yards and crossed the goalline twice. The performance came off the heels of teammate Puka Nacua getting tossed in the contest after throwing a punch and Robinson slotting in as the No. 2 receiving option.
The 30-year-old has been surprisingly a primary factor in this passing attack, netting 88 percent of snaps so far this season. Despite Robinson’s prolonged opportunities, the production has only started to match recently. It’s tough to imagine the success continues with the top targets in the lineup, but his ability in the red zone makes him an intriguing value play. Jonnu Smith ($4,400)
The Jonnu Smith renaissance has been one of the more peculiar wrinkles in recent DFS history. Now in his fourth destination in five years, the veteran tight end is starting to find success in South Beach. Smith’s garnered over six targets in four straight games and has found success as an outlet in the flat and up the seam.
In the recent loss to Buffalo, he played the most snaps of his campaign, where he finished with five receptions for 46 yards. He’s seemingly earned a consistent role on passing downs and can use his massive frame to be a threat in the endzone. This assigned salary is far too low to pass up — this is my favorite budget play of the weekend.
