The Dolphins and Rams will wrap up the Week 10 slate. Let’s take a look at how I’ll be looking to build my Showdown lineups on DraftKings.

Captain’s Picks
De’Von Achane ($14,100 CP): The way the Dolphins have been using Achane lately, it’s hard for him to get scripted out of this game. In the two games since Tua Tagovailoa has been back, Achane has drawn 16 targets! He’s turned that into 14 catches for 108 yards and two touchdowns (and one rushing). There has a been a massive difference in Achane’s fantasy production with and without Tua this year. When Tua has been in, Achane has averaged 27.8 DKFP. When Tua is out, Achane is averaging 6.9 DKFP. Quite the difference, right?
The Rams have been an average defense against opposing running backs, allowing an average of 23 DKFP per game. With Tyreek Hill nursing a wrist injury, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Dolphins lean on Achane a bit more in this game, especially through the air. With so many big names on this slate, I think Achane is one of the best Captain’s picks to use.
FLEX Plays
Jonnu Smith ($4,400): Regardless of the status for Hill, I like Smith this week. I’ll REALLY like Smith if Hill is ruled out. Regardless of who’s been under center, Smith has been getting a healthy number of targets. He’s averaging five per game and has most recently been seeing some red zone targets. He’s only scored once but the Rams are a generous team to opposing tight ends. The 14.7 DKFP allowed is the seventh-highest in the league currently. Smith is currently running a route on 87% of his snaps, which is the highest rate of his career. He’s very cheap on a slate where we have a lot of expensive options to choose from.
Cooper Kupp ($9,800): You could find yourself in a position where you have to choose between Kupp or Puka Nacua. You certainly could play both, but if you’re doing so, you should also be getting Matthew Stafford in. While it’s possible, that’ll crush the remaining salary for the rest of your lineup. But it’s possible! Regardless, if I’m picking, I’d go with Kupp. Even before being ejected last week, Kupp was getting the lion share of targets over Nacua. Kupp ended with 11 catches on 14 targets for 104 yards and 24.4 DKFP.
Kupp is going to see a lot of CB Kader Kohou this week in the slot. I think Kohou has seen a really easy schedule this far and hasn’t faced someone as good as Kupp in the slot. His numbers are great this year, allowing just a 58% catch rate on 24 targets for 9.1 YPR. But, last year, we saw an 83% catch rate on 85 targets and 11.1 YPR. I think this is the week Kohou gets exposed to what we saw from him last season. I’d start Kupp was confidence in your Showdown lineup.

Rams D/ST ($4,000): Another way to save some salary will be with the Rams D/ST. The Dolphins offensive line has been solid this season but the Rams will be throwing a lot of pressure at him. This could lead to some quick throws to Achane (we like that) and forcing Tua out of the pocket. This is not something he’s had to deal with much this season, as he’s only been under pressure on 18% of his dropbacks. The Rams have three different players who have generated at least 20 quarterback hurries. Making Tua uncomfortable could be a big factor in this game.
Fades
Kyren Williams ($10,800): Williams is the most expensive player in this Showdown slate. At nearly $11K, you’d expect a much better fantasy season from him. The touchdowns have been there but the rest of his game has been quite disappointing. Even in games when he’s scored one touchdown, he’s averaging just 17.3 DKFP. That’s fine and all but not at at $10,800 salary. His 2.49 yards after contact is currently the lowest of his career and he’s simply not generating those explosive runs. At this salary, I’m ok with going with some of the other players in that range over him, as scary as it is to leave him off.
