Jefferson is 2nd in the NFL in receiving yards, behind only Ja’Marr Chase who has played two full games more than Jefferson. Jefferson has really hit his stride the past two weeks in particular. Against the Colts and Rams he combined for 15 catches and 252 yards.
This Jaguars defense is a really good matchup for Jefferson. Jacksonville ranks dead last in the NFL in defensive EPA/pass, 27th in defensive passing success rate, 31st in passing yards allowed and 31st in yards per pass attempt allowed. This defense has been shredded by passing attacks all season and Minnesota has one of the best in the league led by Sam Darnold who ranks 7th in the NFL in EPA+CPOE composite.
The best way to approach this game is the prop market is Justin Jefferson’s longest reception prop of 27.5 yards. Jefferson is averaging a longest reception of 39.5 yards per game and has had a reception of 25 yards or more in every single game this season. Jacksonville is likely to throw everything at Jefferson to slow him down so there is a chance he goes under his total receiving yards prop but they don’t have the personnel to completely shut him down. Jefferson will inevitably break one huge play against this bad secondary and go over his longest reception prop.
