Here are Jayden Daniels’ current prop bet odds at DraftKings Sportsbook: o/u 223.5 passing yards, o/u 1.5 passing touchdowns and o/u 44.5 rushing yards. Daniels is +115 to score a touchdown, +750 to score 2+ touchdowns, and +650 to score the first touchdown of the game.
Jayden Daniels is having a record-breaking rookie season for the Commanders. Through nine weeks, Daniels leads all quarterbacks in EPA+CPOE composite and EPA/play. He has hit the ground running and is not only the Offensive Rookie of the Year favorite but also a real MVP candidate. The Commanders are 7-2 under Daniels and atop the NFC East as well, however, this is a big matchup against the 6-2 Steelers who have a really good defense.
The Pittsburgh defense is sixth in EPA/play, 8th in EPA/dropback and fourth in EPA/rush. They are elite against the run, have a great pass rush and are solid on the back end, making them one of the hardest defenses to face in the NFL. The Steelers have faced multiple mobile quarterbacks this season including Anthony Richardson, Bo Nix and Daniel Jones. None of those quarterbacks exceeded more than 25 rushing yards against Pittsburgh. T.J. Watt and the Steelers defensive line should contain Daniels and make him throw from the pocket. If they can take away his legs, he becomes much easier to defend.
Because of this, I am betting on Jayden Daniels to go over his passing yards prop. Daniels has cleared this number in six out of eight games that he has played in full. The Steelers’ defense is so stout against the running game that Daniels will need to hang in the pocket and make throws. This should also be a tightly-contested game against the Steelers where Daniels will need to throw the ball a decent amount of times to hang in the game. With all of these contributing factors, Daniels should clear his passing yards prop of 223.5.
