Guard
Stud
Trae Young, Atlanta Hawks vs. Chicago Bulls ($10,300) — There is Young and none. The Hawks’ wings have been clipped. Their injury report is full. Their roster wasn’t that strong before the bug bit. Young plays 36 MPG and carries a 30.2% Usage Rate. He is the Hawks. Young has scored over 47 DKFP in all but two games. He has exceeded 59 DKFP four times. On Friday, he scored 35 points and dished 13 assists (64 DKFP).
Other Options — Donovan Mitchell ($8,300), James Harden ($9,500)
Value
Garrison Mathews, Atlanta Hawks vs. Chicago Bulls ($3,200)— Gary Bird is a small slate legend. The Hawks have a limited roster and are on a back-to-back. Mathews will get minutes, and he will chuck threes. His floor is 15 fantasy points, but his ceiling is in the 30s if the threes fall. Mathews has been one of the safest punts in 2024.
Other Options — Caris LeVert ($4,800), Sam Merrill ($3,400)
Forward
Stud
Cam Thomas, Brooklyn Nets at Cleveland Cavaliers ($7,400) — His price is too low for a three-game slate. Thomas is undervalued on most slates. The Nets’ offense runs through Thomas. He led the team in scoring last season and is on his way to a repeat. He scored 31 points in Friday’s overtime loss to the Celtics. This is another tough matchup but the Nets might surprise the 10-0 Cavs if they overlook the Nets.
Other Options — RJ Barrett ($8,800), Jalen Johnson ($8,400)
Value
Jalen Wilson, Brooklyn Nets at Cleveland Cavaliers ($3,700) — It’s a three-game slate. We’re scraping the bottom of the barrel. The Nets are thin. Wilson is getting plenty of run with the second team. He could get extra minutes on Saturday night. The undefeated Cavs embarrassed the Warriors on Friday. If the Nets get blown out, Wilson could play 30 minutes.
Other Options — Dorian Finney-Smith ($4,600), Zaccharie Risacher ($5,400)
Center
Stud
Nikola Vucevic, Chicago Bulls at Atlanta Hawks ($8,300) — The Hawks are beat up and on a back-to-back. They also play fast and little defense. The Bulls may be without their stars on Saturday. That leaves Vuc as their leader. This is a winnable game if the big man steps up. Before the last two blowouts, Vucevic scored over 40 DKFP in six straight games with a high of 55 DKFP.
Other Options — Ivica Zubac ($7,900)
Value
Larry Nance Jr., Atlanta Hawks vs. Chicago Bulls ($4,000) — The Hawks’ nest is empty. Nance is getting plenty of action. His minutes haven’t been great, but he’s earned more. Nance went microwave on Friday. He scored 20.75 DKFP in 13 minutes of work. He posted 24 DKFP in 25 minutes the game before that. The Hawks are on a back-to-back. Nance should get at least 20 minutes on Saturday night. If he keeps up his point-per-minute average, he should exceed 6x to 7x value against the Bulls.
Other Options — Chris Boucher ($4,300)
