The Panthers are off a surprising win over the Saints, and now travel to Germany to face the Giants. Bryce Young will remain under center for Carolina, and are around a touchdown underdog to the lowly Giants. This is a tough game to take a side in, but the matchup and game script appears to set up nicely to back a good game from Tracy.

Tracy burst onto the scene in Seattle, ripping off 129 rushing yards on 18 carries. Over the last five games, Tracy no has four games of at least 16 carries, and had one other big game with 145 rushing yards against Pittsburgh. While Tracy had just 66 rushing yards last week against Washington, it was a negative game script while playing from behind.
This week in Germany sets up a rare situation for the Giants, as they’ll go off as a big favorite. Outside of the upset over the Seahawks, the Giants have lost every game since Tracy has been the lead back, so it’s not often he is getting carries with the lead. This week gives us the potential for the Giants to be playing from ahead, or at least not be attempting to stage a comeback.
But regardless of what we think could be a positive game script, the matchup against Carolina is as ideal as it gets for opposing rushers. The Panthers rank dead last in the NFL, giving up nearly 160 yards per game on the ground. Even in a losing effort for the Saints last week, Alvin Kamara shredded the Panthers for 155 rushing yards by himself on 29 carries.
Tracy is off playing 72% of the snaps for New York last week, which is the highest he has played in a game that Devin Singletary was active. Over the last two games. Tracy has out-carried Singletary 36-9, so we can count on about 80% of the carries going to Tracy in a terrific matchup. Good spot to project a heavy workload for Tracy in this one, and the opposition dictates that he should be able to turn those opportunities into yards.
