Is Trevor Lawrence playing in Week 10?

UPDATE: Lawrence (shoulder) will not play Sunday vs. the Vikings, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.

This is not that surprising, as Doug Pederson said Friday it was unlikely Lawrence suited up this week. Mac Jones will likely draw the start, and sits at a mere $4,400 on DraftKings. It’s not a great spot against Brian Flores’ defense, but Minnesota has actually been a bit forgiving against opposing QBs this year, ranking 18th in FPTS allowed to the position. Jones will also reportedly have both of his starting WRs in this game, as Brian Thomas Jr. and Gabe Davis are expected to play. With so many expensive RB and WR plays in great spots this week, it makes a lot of sense to pay down at QB, and Jones would not need more than 13-15 points to pay off this tag. – Landon Silinsky

The Jaguars truly can’t catch a break. Days after a brutal 28-23 loss to the Eagles, Jacksonville head coach Doug Pederson announced on Friday that quarterback Trevor Lawrence is unlikely to play in Sunday’s game against the Vikings. The former number one overall pick may be struggling this year, but his shoulder injury is a major setback for a 2-7 squad desperate for a win. If Lawrence can’t go, backup Mac Jones ($4,400) is likely to start in his place.

What would Jacksonville look like without their franchise quarterback? Meghan (@mtownsleyy) and Steve (@SBuchanan24) broke down the Jags’ offense on Friday’s edition of Injury Report Live:

  • Jones, a former first round pick, was abysmal during his final season with the Patriots two years ago. However, a dirt-cheap price makes him an attractive option for those looking to punt on the quarterback position in DFS contests.
  • Normally, the Vikings would be an attractive matchup for Jacksonville’s wide receivers. Unfortunately, the Jags are dealing with a slew of injuries at that position. That makes rostering anyone on this offense, including Jones, a major risk.
