The NBA is starting to heat up, with storylines and standings starting to take shape.

DraftKings Value Picks
Dyson Daniels ($5,700)
Quinn Snyder might’ve unlocked 21-year-old Dyson Daniels. The eighth overall pick in 2022, Daniels struggled to break out of a crowded New Orleans backcourt. He got plenty of minutes, but a playmaker alongside four ball-dominant options was always a clunky fit. In Atlanta, Daniels is only behind Trae Young as a primary creator and has blossomed as a Swiss Army knife combo guard.
Although the assist numbers haven’t been up to snuff, the Hawks have started the campaign with a middling offensive rating. He’s been explosive, getting downhill and finishing around the rim. Daniels is a sneaky 6’7″ and uses his height to his advantage near the basket. Add in his crippling defense—the Australian native is due for a few stocks (steals and blocks) every time he laces up his shoes.
Daniels faces a mediocre Chicago defense with a matchup against fellow countryman Josh Giddey. Daniels has a safe floor regardless of opponent, but his ceiling depends on his three-point stroke. If the triples are falling, his DFS value is excellent. Expect a solid night from beyond the arc and for Daniels to stuff the stat sheet.
Chris Boucher ($4,300)
With Kelly Olynyk still sidelined with a back injury, Chris Boucher has done decent with his uptick in playing time. The Oregon product has spent the last seven years in Toronto, but has been falling out of favor after his excellent run in 2020-21. The stretch big is finding his jumper from distance, hitting seven of his last 13 shots from downtown. His slim stature is a weakness in the paint, but he’s been more aggressive near the cup.
Boucher has scored over 15 points in two of his last three outings, shooting over 60% from the field in both. If he continues to be efficient, the fact that he can create his own offense is huge for a Toronto squad that is still trying to find its way on that end of the court.
The Los Angeles defense has been outkicking its coverage lately and is due for negative progression. Boucher is aggressive in hunting his shot and wants to continue to build upon his improving form.
