The Eagles travel to Dallas as sizable favorites on Sunday for an NFC East showdown. Philly has taken a lot of money in this one, growing as a favorite both due to how poor the Cowboys have played, as well as some key injuries. Most notably, Dallas will be without Dak Prescott for a while, and CeeDee Lamb is also dinged up. Rather than take a side, I’m just going to back some points from the Eagles in this one.

Laying the points with the Eagles should be a popular play in this one, and ultimately it may be the right call. But I’m more confident that we see points go up on the board here on the Philly side of things. The Eagles rank 11th in the NFL in scoring at 24.9 points per game, and it jumps slightly to 26 in road games. Philly’s offense has been in stride lately, scoring 28 or more points in three consecutive games.
Enter a Cowboys defense that is leaking oil. Dallas ranks 31st in points allowed this season at over 28 per game. The Cowboys have gotten absolutely shredded at home this season, giving up 39.7 points per game at Jerry World. That’s the worst in the NFL by an insane 8.5-point margin. The only teams that the Cowboys have been able to hold under 27 points so far this season were the Browns (with Deshaun Watson), Steelers (with Justin Fields) and Giants.
In their other games, the Cowboys have surrendered 27 to the Falcons, 28 to the Ravens, 30 to the 49ers, 44 to the Saints and 47 to the Lions. The Philly offense and Dallas defense are trending in complete opposite directions, leaving a good spot for the Eagles to hang a big number on the board here.
