Anthony Davis best prop bets for Lakers vs. 76ers

Anthony Davis has been balling this season, anchoring the Lakers to a breakeven 4-4 record while averaging 32.6 PPG, 11.6 RPG, 1.6 SPG, and 1.7 SPG while shooting 57% from the field. He’s coming off back-to-back 30-point performances, the former of which he put up 38 points, 11 rebounds, three steals, and two blocks in a win against the Toronto Raptors shooting 14/20 from the field and 10/11 from the line.

Against an emaciated 76ers roster that’s now missing Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid, Davis faces only Andre Drummond in the frontcourt. And well, not much else.

Here are some of the best Anthony Davis prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Friday’s matchup:

Best Anthony Davis Prop Bets

Points 27.5 (Over -115 / Under -115): Davis is currently averaging 32.6 PPG, a fair amount higher than the over/under set for his points in this game. Let’s put it this way: the only team that has managed to hold Davis to under 27.5 points so far this season is the Cleveland Cavaliers, who boast a near-impenetrable frontcourt duo in Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. Davis has eclipsed 27.5 points in every other game this season, including the opener against four-time DPOY Rudy Gobert, who could do nothing on October 22nd to prevent Davis from dropping a massive 36-16 stat line with three blocks to boot. If you think Andre Drummond will be the one who manages to give Davis enough trouble in the mid-range and near the rim, be my guest.

Rebounds 12.5 (Over -130 / Under +100): The rebounding line is set at 12.5, a bit higher than what Davis is currently averaging (11.6). The 76ers don’t lack interior size tonight. Andre Drummond is a fierce rebounder who will scramble for both defensive and offensive boards and challenge Davis on the glass. There’s some good value here in going under. The game might not be close; the depleted 76ers won’t put up much of a fight against a much better Lakers roster looking to right the ship after two consecutive losses, so Davis might not hit his season average of 36 minutes per game. However, it’s also reasonable to assume that Davis will be too much of an offensive force for Drummond to handle and thus Drummond will deal with foul trouble all night. Who will then stop Davis from gobbling those boards?

Assists 2.5 (Over -130 / Under +100): It’s not Davis’ job to be a playmaker on this team. Some of his assists come from handing the ball off to cutters or kicking it out to the perimeter once he gets swarmed in the paint. Despite this, It’s reasonable to assume Davis will deal with a fair amount of double-coverage this game when he gets near the basket, and so I think there’s value in going over the 2.5 assist tally as Davis draws defenders inside and finds open shooters elsewhere.

Threes 0.5 (Over +135 / Under -175): I don’t see Davis doing a whole lot of three-point shooting this game. With Joel Embiid absent, the 76ers don’t have much to dissuade Davis from walking into the paint, posting up, catching entry passes from LeBron James, and going to work right after.

Blocks 1.5 (Over -118 / Under -154): Davis averages 2.3 blocks over his career, but is currently averaging less with 1.7. The line hasn’t caught up yet. He should be able to anchor this defense tonight and deter the 76ers from attacking the basket too aggressively; if they do, he’ll be waiting with his 7’5 wingspan. He’ll do this more than 1.5 times tonight.
