We have a hefty 12-game NHL slate tonight on DraftKings. Both the Predators and Blackhawks played last night and are the only teams operating on the second leg of a back-to-back. I’ll be focusing strictly on player prop bets for tonight’s betting card –– here are my favorite plus odds choices available on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Colorado Avalanche at Winnipeg Jets
Kyle Connor Anytime Goalscorer (+115)
Connor has netted nine goals on the season and gets a prime matchup between the pipes tonight against a struggling Alexandar Georgiev. Georgiev has been awful across six starts, posting a .822 save percentage while allowing 4.62 goals per game. Colorado has rolled with its other options the past three games, so perhaps the break will help Georgiev find his footing again but I’ll take my chances with Connor and the best offense in the league right now to light up the scoreboard.
Connor hasn’t found the back of the net in back-to-back games, either, so this feels like a get-right spot. Besides, he’s been one of the best snipers this season so far and has scored in eight of 13 games. He leads the team in both shots per game (3.7) and power play goals (4), and ranks second in expected goals (4.4). The Avs field the fourth-worst penalty kill unit (68.6%) and have allowed 11 power play goals already this season. The Jets have scored on a whopping 44.4% of their power play opportunities, which leads the league, and Connor leads that unit. This mismatch is elite and Connor should cash quite easily.
Nashville Predators at Florida Panthers
Sam Reinhart Over 1.5 Points (+195)
Reinhart has officially received the 1.5-point line treatment after nothing but dominance through the first 13 games of the season. He’s still cleared this line in three of five home games and in seven of 13 games overall and should be able to continue again tonight against Nashville. I’d expect the Predators to roll with Scott Wedgewood tonight because this would be Juuse Saros’ fourth start since Nov. 2 and they just played against the Capitals in Washington last night. Wedgewood has only logged two starts and has not been great, allowing 3.54 goals per game while posting a .854 save percentage. Even if Saros starts, the Panthers are a wagon and will score goals regardless.
Florida hasn’t played since Nov. 2, so Reinhart should be well-rested to continue his excellence. He ranks first on the team in goals above expected (5.1), primary assists (7) and secondary assists (4). The 29-year-old winger is doing everything right now and it shouldn’t stop against a tired and out-of-character Predators squad tonight.
Pittsburgh Penguins at Carolina Hurricanes
Martin Necas Over 0.5 Assists (+100)
The Hurricanes have won seven straight games and Necas has led the way with a whopping 11 assists in that span. He’s tallied an assist in nine of 11 games this season and in four of five home games this season. He’s dominating and should continue against Pittsburgh, who has struggled defensively. Alex Nedeljkovic will draw his fourth straight start tonight and while he hasn’t been terrible (2.75 GAA and .900 save percentage), the Penguins’ defensive pairings don’t help him out often.
Necas ranks first on the team in primary (8) and secondary assists (5) and is surrounded by talented goalscorers –– it won’t slow down against a Penguins squad that allows the fourth-most goals per game (3.71) and third-most shots per game (33.2). Goals will be scored and Necas will be likely be leading the way with another dominant night. Plus, you can’t spell Canes without Necas.
