NFL Week 10 Start or Sit: Taysom Hill

UPDATE: On Saturday, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Chris Olave (concussion) is expected to be placed on IR as he continues to get evaluated following his Week 9 injury. If placed on IR, Olave would miss at least four weeks, and it’s definitely possible that given the Saints’ record he will miss the rest of the season.

Taysom Hill ($4,000) is coming off a season-best 16.0 FPTS outing vs. the Panthers this past Sunday. The utility player rushed five times for 19 yards and a touchdown, and he caught four of his five targets for 41 yards. Usage wise, Hill saw 13% of his team’s carries — including a season-high two red zone attempts — and he saw a target on 31% of his routes, while running a route on a season-high 48% of his team’s drop backs.

With Chris Olave (concussion) getting hurt early, the Saints used all of their tight ends more and with Olave out again this Sunday vs. the Falcons, Hill should continue to see decent usage. The problem is that the veteran doing well fantasy wise hinges on him scoring a touchdown, and this matchup with Atlanta isn’t promising in that department.

Hill’s three scores this season have all come on the ground and the Falcons have only given up three rushing touchdowns this season. Given he likely will see single-digit touches, it’s hard to have confidence in Hill finding pay dirt and providing value, and chasing his fantasy score from last week isn’t a smart move.

Start or Sit Taysom Hill: Sit.
