Joe Burrow is having a monster season for the Bengals. Despite the Bengals’ poor start in the win/loss column, Burrow has been fantastic this year. He is fourth in the NFL in EPA+CPOE composite, fifth in passing yards and second in passing touchdowns. The Bengals’ offense is fourth in the NFL in EPA/drop back and third in drop back success rate as a result.
The Ravens have had a lot of issues in the secondary this season. Their defense ranks 29th in dropback EPA and dead-last in opponent passing yards per game. In the first matchup of the season between these two teams, Joe Burrow threw for 392 yards and five touchdowns, his best performance of the season. The Bengals were able to exploit all of the issues in the Baltimore secondary and should be able to do so again.
Burrow is on a heater and is showing no sign of slowing down. Dating back to the last Baltimore matchup, Burrow has 13 passing touchdowns in five games. He is averaging over two passing touchdowns per game this season and should be able to throw for at least two touchdowns in this game against a defense that he dominated in their last matchup. Therefore, I am betting Burrow to go over his passing touchdowns prop.
