Not many Marvel shows have received a second series. Loki is the only live-action show that officially did, while Agatha All Along was a spin-off of WandaVision. X-Men ‘97 is due to have a second season, but that will not be the first Marvel Disney+ animated show to have multiple seasons.
Up Next…
What If…? will be the first Marvel Disney+ show to have three seasons. That will also be the next show to follow Agatha All Along on Disney+.
What If…? season three will begin on December 22, 2024.
After weekly episode releases in the first season, the second season of this Marvel show featured a daily drop from December 22, 2023 to December 30, 2023. Replicating the latter recipe seems more likely since it was well-received.
(UPDATE: The trailer for Season 3 of What If…? has dropped.)
Characters
As was the case with the first two seasons, Jeffrey Wright will run point as The Watcher.
The other characters that have been linked to the third season of What If…? are:
- Moon Knight
- Shang-Chi
- Ironheart
- White Vision
Next Live-Action show
While What If…? is the next Marvel show on tap, that is an animated series.

- Charlie Cox as Daredevil
- Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin
- Jon Bernthal as The Punisher
Other Marvel Shows Slated for 2025
