Jameson Williams was in the middle of having the best season of his career before he was hit with a two-game suspension for violating the league’s PED policy. Those two games have now passed, and Williams will suit up on Sunday night against the Texans. In his last game before the suspension, Williams had his worst game of the season, recording one catch for -4 yards against the Vikings. That means it’s almost been a month since we saw a good performance from Williams, so can you trust him in Week 10?
In my opinion, I think Williams should still be considered a starter because of his upside and the offense that he’s in. He can take the top off the defense at any time, and his 21.2 yards per reception is the third-best in the league. From a fantasy perspective, he’s definitely been hit or miss this season, but despite that, his 12.9 FPTS per game is still 32nd in the league among receivers. Williams may not be a traditional WR1 or even WR2, but I love someone with his ceiling in my flex. Unless you have a better option, I would recommend starting Williams this Sunday.
Despite only playing in six games so far this year, the third-year player has already set his career highs in receiving yards and touchdowns. Williams is an ascending player, and despite his two-week hiatus, he should be in your lineups this Sunday.
