Here’s a look at some of the top betting picks on DraftKings Sportsbook for Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Thunder -7 (-112)
The Thunder enter Wednesday night’s game against the Nuggets as a 7-point favorite, looking to extend their undefeated start. Oklahoma City has begun the new campaign with seven consecutive double-digit wins. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leads the balanced Thunder roster with 25.7 points per game, while the team’s depth — 10 players averaging at least 13 minutes per game — has been critical to the early success.
Denver, meanwhile, has been hampered by injuries to key starters. Jamal Murray remains in concussion protocol, and Aaron Gordon, who exited Monday’s game with a calf strain, is expected to miss multiple weeks. Without them, the Nuggets will lean even more heavily on Nikola Jokic, averaging a triple-double (29.6 points, 12.6 rebounds and 10.3 assists). However, with Denver’s bench depth in question and Oklahoma City’s relentless pace and defensive intensity, the Thunder are well-positioned to cover the -7 spread.
Pacers -5 (-110)
The Pacers enter Wednesday’s rematch against the Magic as 5-point favorites and appear poised to capitalize on Orlando’s recent struggles. Indiana is coming off an impressive 134-127 win over the Mavericks, marking their second victory over a 2024 Finals participant in the past week. Myles Turner led the way with 30 points and 11 rebounds, while Tyrese Haliburton contributed 25 points and 12 assists, signaling a return to his elite playmaking form.
Orlando has been in a scoring slump, especially without Paolo Banchero, who scored 50 points in the Magic’s Oct. 28 win over Indiana but is now sidelined with a torn oblique. The Magic have dropped four straight games, failing to reach 90 points in their last two contests. Given Indiana’s recent offensive output and the Magic’s depleted lineup, the Pacers are well-positioned to cover the -5 spread at home.
76ers +1.5 (-100)
The 76ers head into Wednesday’s matchup against the Clippers as 1.5-point underdogs, looking to snap a three-game losing streak. Despite missing Joel Embiid due to an ongoing knee injury and now a three-game suspension, Philadelphia showed resilience in a narrow 118-116 loss to the Suns on Monday, with Tyrese Maxey pouring in 32 points and Guerschon Yabusele adding 19 points off the bench. Paul George also made his Sixers debut in that game, contributing 15 points, although he’s still finding his rhythm.
The Clippers, meanwhile, finally secured their first home win at the new Intuit Dome, overcoming a 26-point deficit to beat the Spurs 113-104. However, Los Angeles continues to struggle with consistency, particularly with Kawhi Leonard sidelined indefinitely. While the Clippers’ recent rally was impressive, the 76ers’ depth and Maxey’s scoring ability make Philadelphia a solid pick to cover the +1.5 spread as they seek their first win on this Western Conference road trip.
Rockets -6.5 (-112)
The Rockets look to cover the 6.5-point spread when they host the Spurs on Wednesday, riding momentum from a strong win over the Knicks in which Alperen Sengun delivered a breakout performance. Sengun dominated inside, scoring 25 points on 11-of-15 shooting with 14 rebounds, five assists and four blocks. Rockets coach Ime Udoka has emphasized the need to run the offense through Sengun, and the results tend to translate well when this is the emphasis.
Despite flashes of dominant defensive potential behind Victor Wembanyama, San Antonio has shown vulnerability, as seen in its recent 113-104 loss to the Clippers after blowing a 26-point lead. With Sengun finding his stride and Jalen Green providing a steady scoring option, the Rockets have the depth and momentum to cover the -6.5 spread against their in-state rivals.
Tyrese Maxey Over 26.5 Points (-125)
Maxey has been on an offensive tear this season, averaging 30.2 points through six games and establishing himself as Philadelphia’s go-to scorer in Embiid’s absence. Maxey has consistently shouldered the scoring load, showcasing an impressive shot creation and finishing arsenal. He’s well-positioned to exceed the 26.5-point mark in this matchup.
Faced with a Clippers team that recently allowed a big scoring night from San Antonio’s backcourt, Maxey’s aggressive play and consistent scoring output make this over bet appealing, especially as he continues to drive the 76ers’ offense.
