How did the 26-year-old respond? He eliminated the hitch in his upward motion and rediscovered his stroke from distance.
He’s shooting just 35% from deep, but that’s primarily due to shot-chucking in the second half of blowouts. The form looks much better, and to see this strong progression so early in the campaign is uber-promising. It looks sustainable, with room to grow as he gets more comfortable with his new form.
The best way to stick it to Kerr on his benching is to prove he can shoot and further establish his MVP case. Tatum looks like a man on a mission, and this is his first real show of his revenge tour. Six threes is a lot, but it’s a mark he will want to crush.
