UPDATE 11:30 p.m. ET: After the game, Mahomes said that he rolled his ankle and that he expects to play Week 10.
UPDATE: Mahomes was able to return to the game and threw the go-ahead touchdown with four minutes left in the game.
Early in the fourth quarter of Monday night’s game vs. the Buccaneers, Patrick Mahomes flipped the game-tying touchdown to Samaje Perine. Unfortunately, as he scrambled to the right sideline and right before tossing the short pass, Mahomes suffered a non-contact injury to what appeared to be his left leg. He went to the turf and had to be helped off the field.

After a few minutes, he was able to stand on the sideline and was chatting with coaches. Mahomes even tried to jog a little bit and started warming up.
