Is Malik Nabers still a WR1 in fantasy football?

Updated:

By: Ciaran Doyle

In the three games since returning from a concussion, Malik Nabers has not been quite as explosive as he was to start the season. In the four games before the injury, Nabers was averaging 96.5 receiving yards per game. In the three games since, that has gone down to 57. The targets have still been plentiful in that three-game sample, as he’s been targeted 32 times. Unfortunately, he has only hauled in 20 of those, the big reason for his recent struggles. I would lean towards keeping Nabers and riding out this mid-season slump. Despite missing two games this season, he is still the second-most-targeted player in the NFL, only trailing Garrett Wilson. His 79.6 receiving yards per game is still 8th in the NFL, and his 55 receptions are tied for 3rd in the league.

Nabers is still a clear WR1 in fantasy football, and he will continue to be as long as he is healthy and still receiving an absurd number of targets. He has a great opportunity to get things back on track this Sunday in Week 10, as the Giants face the Panthers. Carolina has struggled to stop the pass all season, and they rank 25th in the league in that category. Nabers should bounce back from this mini-slump, and what better game to do it in than this one?
