This is a new article here on DK Network to hopefully give the bettors a look behind the book at the most heavily bet NBA player props of the night by ticket count. It indicates which props bettors are most interested in for that slate of games, and I’ll try and offer some analysis as to why (or analysis as to why you should be careful). Please keep in mind that betting the NBA is an ever-changing market, and that injury news closer to tip could always take one of these players off the board, or change other props that become more heavily bet close to tipoff.
The public is riding a pretty hot streak on these props, finishing up last week on a 16-4 run on Tuesday through Friday.
Giannis Antetokounmpo OVER 29.5 Points (-115)
Giannis is averaging 31 points per game and has ripped off 30 or more points in three-straight games. That includes 34 against the Cavs on Saturday, which bettors are confident he can do again.
Anthony Davis OVER 27.5 Points (-110)
Davis is off to a terrific start to the season, averaging 31.8 points per game. But he’s also been consistent, scoring at least 29 points in five of the Lakers’ six games, and the under came in a blowout that he saw fewer minutes. Bettors are confident AD can stay hot against a poor Pistons squad.
Giannis Antetokounmpo OVER 11.5 Rebounds (-135)
Giannis is averaging 12.3 boards on the season, but has only exceeded this number twice. However, he ripped down a season-high 16 boards in this very matchup on Saturday, so bettors are going back to it against Cleveland. This one took enough bets to move up to 12.5, but is showing plus-money to the over.
Domantas Sabonis Double Double: YES (-425)
Domantas Sabonis Triple Double: YES (+700)
Sabonis is having a great season in the early going, producing in very versatile ways. Averaging 21.5 points, 13 rebounds and 6.3 assists, the triple-double upside is there. Domas cashed triple-double tickets his last time out, and has had a double-double in five straight games, although I can’t say I agree with risking it at -425 juice.
