Devin Booker 8+ Assists (+260)
Devin Booker is currently the star graduate of the Chris Paul passing academy. Since transitioning to the primary on-ball creator, Booker’s assist numbers have skyrocketed. He has a tight handle that is more formulaic than flashy. His ability to work out of the pick-and-roll is one of the best in the league, manipulating defenders at every step of the way. His basketball intelligence is grossly underrated, and he’s developed into a premier distributor.
The Suns‘ new head coach, Mike Budenholzer, has prioritized revolving the offense around launching a high volume of threes at great efficiency. Shooting a lot of triples helps induce easy assists because the shot becomes more important than generating the look. That has propelled Booker’s assist numbers to increase as he gets more comfortable within the system. He’s had consecutive contests with eight or more assists, which is where I expect him to linger moving forward. Booker is a gifted playmaker who will have the usage to clear this adjusted line at a frequent rate.
Devin Booker 25+ Points (-220)
Booker has scored 25 or more points in four of the last five meetings with Philadelphia. He’s a professional bucket-getter who can fill it up in a flash and get to wherever he wants to on the court. There isn’t a tremendous amount of value here, but this adjusted line is the best course of action. No one in the 76ers’ backcourt can stay in front of Booker, and he should have no problem clearing this threshold.
Parlaying both these props on the DraftKings Sportsbook would be +360.
