Lamar Jackson is having another MVP-level season for the Ravens. However, this will be a tough test against the league’s top passing defense, the Denver Broncos. The Ravens lost to the Browns as a substantial favorite last week and will look to get back on track with a win in this game. To do so, they need Jackson to overcome the toughness of the Broncos secondary and make some winning plays.
After a slower start to the season, by his standards, Lamar Jackson has exploded in the past four weeks. In those four games, Jackson has 12 passing touchdowns and just one interception. Jackson used to be a run-first quarterback when inside the red zone earlier in his career, but he has significantly improved as a passer in close quarters. He uses his legs to improvise and extend plays but then looks downfield for a receiver.
Against Denver, Jackson should be able to keep up his hot streak and throw for more touchdowns. The threat of Jackson’s legs and Derrick Henry’s rushing attack should force Denver to load the box when the Ravens get into goal-to-go situations. That will open the door for Jackson to use his arm and hit receivers or tight ends in single coverage. So, my favorite prop bet for this game is Lamar Jackson throwing 2+ passing touchdowns.
