The Panthers offense has been one of the least productive in the NFL this season, producing just 282 yards of total offense and 15.5 points per game. However, there is big-time opportunity this week vs. the Saints with injuries and recent trades depleting the pass-catching options. As a result, Jalen Coker ($3,600) sets up to potentially be an amazing play this week.
The Setup
Here’s the latest on the Panthers’ injury report:
#Panthers injury report:
Ikem Ekwonu (ankle) — OUT
Feleipe Franks (concussion) — OUT
Jammie Robinson (knee) — OUT
Adam Thielen (hamstring) — Doubtful
DJ Johnson (ankle) — Questionable
Xavier Legette (toe) — Questionable
Jonathon Brooks (knee) — Questionable

With former Panthers No. 1 WR Diontae Johnson ($6,300) playing this week for the Ravens, Adam Thielen ($4,700; hamstring) and Xavier Legette ($5,300; toe) could be the team’s top receivers, but Thielen is still on IR and doubtful, while Legette is also dealing with an injury that has him questionable.
Legette had a touchdown and 13.4 fantasy points last week, but Coker led the team with 78 receiving yards and this touchdown on his way to 17.8 fantasy points.

Coker has been hyped by legendary Panthers WR Steve Smith since the NFL Draft and the undrafted free agent has been turning heads since putting together a great preseason. When Thielen went down, he moved onto the active roster and has been climbing the depth chart since then.
The Skinny
Coker is an outstanding value option for DFS contests like the NFL $2.75M Fantasy Football Millionaire [$1M to 1st]. He is only $3,600 and could be the team’s top receiver in a great matchup against the Saints.
New Orleans has allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season, giving up at least 10 wide receiver catches in every game for an average of 172.6 yards per contest.
If Legette is out, Coker will be a solid FLEX play and could quickly be a WR2, so he’s worth a look in season-long fantasy leagues if you need help this week.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, he is +295 to score a touchdown. His yardage props aren’t up yet, but building a SGP with a touchdown and a nice yardage line could be a very lucrative option this week.
