Jordan Addison ($6,200)
Jordan Addison is trying to break out of his sophomore slump. The 2023 first-round pick has been largely invisible on the field since coming back from a high ankle sprain. It’s hard to point out the glaring issue—he has the repertoire of a top pass catcher and is going against every team’s second–best corner. He only trails Justin Jefferson for the most receiving yards on the club, but his superstar teammate has nearly tripled Addison’s total.
Part of the pitch for Addison having a solid campaign revolved around fellow USC product Sam Darnold under center. The two weren’t Trojans at the same time, but the shared experience could’ve helped the pair click. At best, the chemistry has failed to develop, with Addison yet to have an outing with more than three receptions. After being a touchdown machine last year, he’s only found the endzone once in games. Everything has been off, but he’s too talented for this slump to continue.
Eventually, coach Kevin O’Connell will make sure the rock gets into one of his premier playmaker’s hands. Addison is in a great bounce-back spot against a shaky Indianapolis secondary that has wilted when tested this season.
Alec Pierce ($5,600)
If you’re a frequent reader of the work produced here at DKN, you’ll know Alec Pierce is a polarizing figure. The speedster wideout has been primarily a vertical threat since turning pro in 2022, averaging a hair under 17 yards per catch during his stint in Indianapolis. He’s the definition of feast or famine—either trotting in for a long score or dropping a crucial pass over the middle.
Pierce suffered from concentration drops in college, but it looked like it was an area of his game that was improving. The lapses in judgment can be difficult for a receiver to shake, but he’s getting open at too high of a clip to sit on the bench. Minnesota allows the most fantasy points to opposing pass catchers, and with Joe Flacco under center, Pierce is due to have a few opportunities to make a “splash play.” Buy the dip, and consider the tremendous upside with this cheap assigned salary.
