Election Day is next Tuesday, and the latest odds show former President Donald Trump remains the favorite on DraftKings to defeat Vice President Kamala Harris.
After seeing Harris’ odds make a very slight upward move in our latest line movement update late last week, Trump has now increased his advantage, with the former president sitting at -185 odds while the vice president is at +150. Presidential election odds on DraftKings Sportsbook are only available in Ontario, Canada.
That tracks with what RealClear Polling is seeing, as Trump now holds a slight +0.1 advantage in their average of all polls. RealClear also has Trump seeing the following advantages in key battleground states:
- +0.5 in Pennsylvania
- +0.8 in North Carolina
- +2.3 in Georgia
- +1.5 in Arizona
- +0.3 in Wisconsin
- +0.1 in Michigan
- +0.7 in Nevada
The former president also got a shoutout of sorts during the Sunday Night Football postgame, as the 49ers’ Joey Bosa crashed an interview with his teammates wearing a white and gold “Make America Great Again” hat. In a press conference afterward, the defensive star said he didn’t want to talk too much about it, just that he thought it was “an important time.”
It’s not all good news for Trump, however, as the latest ABC News/Ipsos poll has Harris ahead ever so slightly. ABC News notes that turnout will be key, as Harris gains two percentage points when polling likely voters (51-47) as opposed to registered voters (49-47).
Could we still see an October Surprise? For those unfamiliar, an October Surprise is an event which usually upends the race late. Jim Comey re-opening the investigation in Hilary Clinton’s emails in 2016 is one of the most famous examples of this. Meanwhile, a CNN polls finds that most voters doubt that Trump will concede if he winds up losing the election. Moreover, according to that poll, a majority of Trump’s supporters believe the losing candidate has no obligation to do so. And if legal challenges do arise in the election that have to go to the Supreme Court, a majority of those polled do not trust the Supreme Court to make the right decision. When looking at the individual candidates, 30% of registered voters believe Trump would concede and accept the election results if he loses, while 73% think Vice President Kamala Harris would accept a defeat.
