Bet this prop if Franz Wagner sits Monday vs. the Pacers

Bet this prop if Franz Wagner sits Monday vs. the Pacers

Franz Wagner ($7,300; illness) was a late add to the Magic’s injury report and is questionable for Monday’s game vs. the Pacers. The wing is leading Orlando in usage this season (28.3%) and if Wagner sits, there is going to be a large void needing to be filled.

Usage-wise, almost every Magic player benefits with Wagner off the court, but the one prop that is standing out as a great wager if the forward sits is Jalen Suggs ($5,400) O 14.5 points on DraftKings Sportsbook (-120).

With Wagner off the court over the last two seasons, Suggs’ usage has risen 2.2 percentage points to 22.3%. Wagner has yet to miss a game this season, but he missed 10 last season and Suggs scored more than 14 points in seven of those 10 contests. On a per 36-minute basis, the guard averaged 20.8 points with Wagner inactive last season.

Suggs is coming off a season-high 21 points Saturday vs. the Grizzlies and for Monday, he is at home and facing the Pacers, who rank 20th in defensive efficiency this season. In his lone matchup with Indiana last season, Suggs recorded 18 points, even with Wagner active for this tilt.

Orlando carries a high implied team total of 114.5 points on DraftKings Sportsbook and Suggs should surpass his 14.5-point prop with ease if Wagner sits. Additionally, Suggs will have merit for DFS at his reasonable $5,400 price tag.
