UPDATE 10:12 p.m. ET: Mason is on the sideline with a helmet on, but Isaac Guerendo is still the one receiving snaps.
With four minutes left in the first quarter of Sunday night’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, Jordan Mason was lined up to the right of Brock Purdy, who was in shotgun formation. Mason took the handoff, headed towards the left sideline then turned upfield at the hashes and gained six yards. Unfortunately, he suffered an injury on the play.
After lying on the ground for a minute, Mason was able to walk to the sideline and looked fine, donning his helmet and raring to get back onto the field.
Mason did return to the game in the second quarter. His last rush occurred with 7:13 left in the quarter. After that, he went to the locker room and is now officially questionable to return with a shoulder injury.
Prior to exiting, Mason rushed six times for 18 yards.
Isaac Guerendo has replaced Mason and has looked good, rushing three times for 38 yards.
