UPDATE: 10/28 1:04 p.m. ET: According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Brian Thomas could miss 2-4 weeks with a chest/rib injury.
The timeline remains a bit murky, as Thomas Jr. is headed for tests to determine the severity of the injury. We should know more later Monday.
However, whichever way you look at it, and no matter the severity, this is a devastating blow to a Jaguars offense that was just seeking to find its identity. Thomas Jr. had been almost the lone bright spot in the offense, and a lot of the more dynamic plays from Trevor Lawrence ran through him.
The Jaguars will now be without him for at least the next two weeks, it sounds like. As more updates roll in about Thomas Jr.’s tests, we’ll provide them here.
Early in the fourth quarter, the Jacksonville Jaguars announced during their game against the Green Bay Packers that Brian Thomas Jr. is questionable to return to the game with a chest injury.
Toward the end of the third quarter, Brian Thomas Jr. caught a touchdown from Trevor Lawrence as the Jaguars sought to enter the W column in Green Bay. They’ll have to do so without their top wide receiver in the meanwhile.
Earlier in the game, they already lost wide receiver Gabe Davis. Soon after Brian Thomas Jr. was injured, Christian Kirk left the game and was deemed out with a shoulder injury. Trevor Lawrence’s options are running thin.
