The Steelers are coming off an emphatic win over the Jets in the first game of the “Russell Wilson era.” George Pickens crossed the century mark in a dominant performance as he re-established his standing as one of the best young pass catchers in the sport. He hopes to pad his squad’s lead atop the congested AFC North.

George Pickens 80+ Receiving Yards (+205)
There’s no secret George Pickens expects to get fed the rock. He is a monster on the outside who is a master of coming away with fifty-fifty balls in his direction. A star receiver’s success depends on quarterback play—if they don’t get looks, there’s no way to make a play. With Fields under center, the volume of targets was there, but many of the throws didn’t give Pickens a realistic opportunity to shine. Russell Wilson might not be in his prime, but he can still sling it downfield.
New York has a decent secondary but has allowed over 70 receiving yards to the opposing WR1s in four of the last five contests. Pickens has no real competition as the top option and can easily get an extra 10 yards to surpass the 80+ adjusted line.

Much of the logic above trickles down regarding receptions. Pickens only had one contest with fewer than seven targets, but has only reeled in five or more catches four times.
Offensive coordinator Arthur Smith has put an emphasis on scheming more ways for his best offensive player to get more touches. He’s not the most technical route runner, but his physical traits overcompensate. If Wilson continues to be the signal caller, Pittsburgh should hover around 28 pass attempts, which gives Pickens plenty of chances to hit his mark.
