Here’s a look at some of the top betting picks from DraftKings Sportsbook for Saturday, Oct. 26.
Grizzlies ML -112
The Grizzlies will look to secure a win in their home opener Saturday night against the Magic after splitting their first two games. Both teams are playing for the third time in four days, which should set the stage for a competitive matchup.
Memphis started the season with a two-point win over Utah before falling to Houston 128-108 on Friday, struggling with rebounding and transition defense. Key rotation players missed the first two games, but veteran forward Jaren Jackson Jr. is expected to return from a preseason hamstring injury. His presence, alongside a strong start from Ja Morant, averaging 23 points over the first two games, could provide the edge Memphis needs.
With a Magic team on short rest, Memphis is positioned to perform well in front of its home crowd. At -112 on DraftKings Sportsbook, the Grizzlies’ moneyline offers value.
Mavericks -3 (-108)
The Mavericks are set to build on their season-opening win as they visit the Phoenix Suns on Saturday night. Klay Thompson made an immediate impact in his Mavericks debut, scoring 22 points and hitting six three-pointers alongside Luka Doncic, who contributed 28 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.
Thompson’s shooting and floor spacing add a new dimension to Dallas’ offense, easing the load on Doncic and Kyrie Irving and creating more scoring opportunities across the roster.
Phoenix, meanwhile, enters this game after a tough loss to the Lakers, where it gave up a 22-point lead. Despite solid games from Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, the Suns struggled defensively in the second half and are still adjusting under new head coach Mike Budenholzer. Teams that lack rim protection with a slower-footed center like Jusuf Nurkic usually struggle to hold their own against a Doncic-led offense.
With the Mavericks’ established core and added firepower from Thompson, Dallas has the edge to cover the -3 spread on DraftKings Sportsbook against a Suns team still finding its rhythm.
Chet Holmgren Over 17.5 Points (-125)
Chet Holmgren was impressive in his first game of the season, scoring 25 points against Denver, and he looks set to continue that momentum against the Bulls.
Holmgren’s versatile scoring on the perimeter and inside was on full display against the Nuggets, showcasing his ability to attack the paint, finish through contact and connect on his mid-range shots. His size and touch around the basket make him a consistent scoring threat, especially with the Thunder emphasizing his role in their five-out offense.
With Oklahoma City dealing with injuries to key bigs like Isaiah Hartenstein, Holmgren will likely see significant minutes again as the team’s primary inside presence. His versatility should pose problems against Nikola Vucevic and a struggling Bulls defense.
Holmgren has a favorable matchup to clear 17.5 points to hit the Over (-125) on DraftKings Sportsbook as he works to build a breakout sophomore season.
Ja Morant Over 20.5 Points -105
Ja Morant enters Saturday’s home opener against the Magic off two strong performances, scoring 22 points against Utah and 24 against Houston. His early form shows he’s ready to lead the Grizzlies’ offense after being limited to nine games last season.
With the team missing key players in the first two games, Morant has already taken on a larger scoring load, and the return of Jaren Jackson Jr. could open up space for him to attack the paint even more effectively.
Morant’s speed and ability to finish through contact make him a tough cover for Orlando, a team that has shown some vulnerability in transition defense. Given his recent form and the potential for an uptick in pace at home, Morant clearing 20.5 points is an appealing play on DraftKings Sportsbook at -105.
Klay Thompson Over 14.5 Points (-125)
Klay Thompson’s Mavericks debut showed exactly why Dallas added the five-time All-Star to its roster. Thompson drained six 3-pointers and finished with 22 points in a confident shooting display against San Antonio, hitting his stride, particularly in the second half, when the team scored 70 of its 120 points.
Thompson’s range and ability to find open looks were fully leveraged as Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving created spacing and ball movement, making Thompson a constant threat.
Now facing a Phoenix defense that allowed a big second-half rally to the Lakers, Thompson’s shooting should thrive again. With defenses prioritizing Doncic and Irving, Thompson is primed to capitalize on any defensive gaps. At 14.5 points, taking the Over (-125) on DraftKings Sportsbook feels like a strong play if Thompson maintains his rhythm from deep.
