It’s Game 2 of the MLB World Series. How about Freddie’s Friday finish? The games mean more in the MLB Postseason, and even more with DraftKings Sportsbook action. DraftKings offers plenty of ways to play, from betting on the Moneyline to the Run Line and even dabbling in Player Props, if that’s what you’re into.

Here are my favorite DraftKings Sportsbook picks for Saturday’s MLB Postseason betting card on Oct. 26.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. New York Yankees

The Pick: Dodgers Moneyline (-142)

The MLB executives have been partying all week. They dodged a bullet and got the best outcome possible. The Dodgers and Yankees are in the World Series. Two storied franchises and the biggest media markets are represented in the World Series. Pop the bottles and cash the checks. The only way it could be better is if this is a seven-game series. That outcome will have to wait. For now, Rob Manfred and friends keep the party going heading into Game 2 of the World Series on Saturday night. Freddie Freeman’s Friday started the festivities with a fantastic blast that could begin one of the most memorable series in seasons, or ever.

The Game 1 outcome doesn’t matter to the suits. It matters to the ones in uniforms. The Dodgers will try to keep their own party going with Yoshinobu Yamamoto taking the mound. His party did not get started the way he wanted in Game 1 of the NLDS. He allowed five earned runs in three innings against the Padres. The next two starts were a different story. He allowed two earned runs in 9.1 innings (NLDS and NLCS) and struck out eight in his lone NLCS appearance. The Mets took him yard in the opening inning but Yamamoto responded by retiring 12 of the next 17 batters and allowing just three singles. He didn’t allow an extra-base hit on Oct. 11 against the Padres. Even in his perceived poor performance in his postseason debut, the 26-year-old rookie was decent after surrendering three runs in the first. He retired 10 hitters in a row before the meat of the Padres order helped themselves to seconds.

The meat is the question. Will Yamamoto eat or will the Yankees’ modern Murders’ Row feast? Can Yamamoto beat Judge, Stanton and Soto? If so, the Dodgers will win. Soto has been the Yankees’ go-to (1.106 postseason OPS), but Judge has been a no-show (.704 OPS with a .161 AVG). Stanton has been the stand-in in the AL MVP’s absence (1.179 OPS). Yamamoto has two threats. That’s not too much to ask from a pitcher with a 2.86 xFIP and the three-time Japanese MVP that won the 2022 Nippon Series Championship.

The Pick: Tommy Edman World Series MVP (+3000)

Who had Tommy Edman on their World Series MVP card in September? He hit .237 in 39 games after being traded to the Dodgers. It’s baseball. These things happen. Jeremy Peña was the MVP in 2022. Jorge Soler won the award in 2021 and Steve Pearce pulled it off in 2018. Edman collected 16 hits and 12 RBIs in the NLDS and NLCS. He’s seeing the ball well and hits are what matter in tough, high-stakes matchups. Clutch hits lead to wins. Home runs are great but not necessary. Game-winning plays are praised by the voters. The grinder gets his day on the biggest stage. If Edman keeps hitting, then he is undervalued in this market.

Freddie Freeman’s Friday fiesta shot him to the top of the board (+280). The movement helped shift Edman from +2500 to +3000. Edman was an unsung hero in Game 1. He recorded two hits. One was in the 10th inning and resulted in Edman scoring the game-winning run. There’s a lot of baseball left to play and the Edman pick is live.
