The Rockets got their first win of the season on Friday night after a big game from Jalen Green ($7,700). Green has been excellent in his two games this season and will now lead his young Rockets to San Antonio for their first road game of the season in what should be a fun matchup with another young team on the rise–the Spurs.
The Rockets are 1.5-point favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook, so the game should be a close one with the over/under of 222. Let’s take a look at some player props I like for Green in this Texas-sized showdown.
Best Jalen Green Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Jalen Green 25+ points (+185)
Green can turn in some empty box scores sometimes, so I’m not going to get fancy here. He’s almost 2:1 to get to 25 points, which seems like a very attractive price for the number.
Green had 28 points in the season opener against the Hornets while playing 35 minutes with a 28.5% usage rate. He came up just short of this number with 22 points on Friday night but still had a very solid 29.6% usage rate against the Grizzlies.
Green leads the starting unit with a 28.1% usage rate on the season and is only behind Cam Whitmore ($3,700) for the team lead. In each of his first two games, he took 20+ shots and has already hoisted a total of 23 shots from long range.
While he will likely never be the picture of efficiency, Green can score points as a volume shooter. He scored at least 25 points in 10 of his last 17 games last season and looks ready to pick up where he left off with plenty of shots and production potential in every matchup.
The Spurs gave up 28 points to Luka Doncic in their first game of the season and 120 points to the Mavs.
HOU Rockets Total Three Pointers Made 12+ (-110)
While it isn’t solely a Green prop, this also looks like a nice number to attack. The Spurs gave up 19 three-pointers in their first game while the Rockets made 13 against the Hornets and 17 against the Grizzlies.
Since it is the second night of a back-to-back on the road, they may hit a few less, which is why I’m not being more aggressive with this pick, but I think you could chase 15+ three-pointers at +390 if you’re OK taking a bigger risk.
Backing team total three-pointers made is a fun prop to attack, and this number seems low to me given how hot the Rockets have started the season.
After they finish their back-to-back Saturday, the Rockets get a day off before facing the Spurs in San Antonio again on Monday.
