The Knicks make their home season debut on Friday night and Karl-Anthony Towns will play his first game with Madison Square Garden as his home court. Here are the best player props to bet on for Karl-Anthony Towns on DraftKings Sportsbook for the Knicks’ matchup against the Pacers.

Best Karl-Anthony Towns Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

The latest lines for Karl-Anthony Towns against the Pacers on DraftKings Sportsbook are currently o/u 21.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.5 3-pointers, 0.5 blocks and 0.5 steals.

It was a disappointing Knicks debut for Karl-Anthony Towns and a disappointing season debut for the whole team. However, facing the defending champions on their banner night is never a fun prospect. In this game, the Knicks will make their Madison Square Garden debut and Towns will get to play his first regular season game in front of his new home fans.

The Knicks were unable to establish an offensive rhythm early on against the Celtics. They should come up with a fresh approach to make sure that they start strong against the Pacers in this game. There is a lot of familiarity between these two teams after they played a seven-game series in the playoffs last year. The new wrinkle to that matchup is the addition of Towns by the Knicks. Tom Thibodeau and his staff should emphasize getting the two-man game with Jalen Brunson and Towns going right away. After Brunson devastated the Pacers with his drives in the playoffs last year, Indiana should have full focus on Brunson and that will open up some shot attempts for Towns.

Instead of going for a full-game or even first-half prop, I am betting on Towns to go over 4.5 points in the first quarter. Towns was one of the best players in the league at scoring early on in games last season. He averaged 6.1 points per first quarter, which was top 25 in the NBA. Julius Randle was actually in the top ten in first-quarter scoring for the Knicks last year, and that is the role that Towns is filling, so they will be leaning on him to get the offense going with some easy buckets. This should be a much better effort by the Knicks as a whole than their season opener and it will start by Brunson setting up Towns for some easy baskets early on.

Best Bet: Karl-Anthony Towns o4.5 1Q Points (-135)
