All 32 NFL teams are in action in Week 8 as no teams are on a bye week and every team will take the field at some point in this very busy weekend. The action begins on Thursday night when the Rams welcome the Vikings to SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles for an important NFC matchup.
On Sunday afternoon, the NFL brings the thunder with a massive 13-game slate full of interesting matchups and storylines. Amazingly, the season is already almost halfway over, and several divisional and playoff races are beginning to take shape. Eight games kick off at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday followed by five games in the later window. The marquee matchup in that late window was set up to be a rookie QB showdown between the top two picks in last year’s NFL Draft–Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels. However, Daniels is dealing with a rib injury, and his status is still uncertain.
Sunday Night Football is another big NFC matchup between teams trying to stay in the playoff hunt as the 49ers host the Cowboys, and the week wraps up with Russell Wilson and the Steelers playing their second straight primetime game as they host the Giants.
Each week, I’ll post the relevant info for the biggest matchups from DraftKings Sportsbook to help you find the stats and trends that matter. The Vikings will be looking to bounce back from their first SU loss of the season last week against the Lions while the Rams have struggled to a 2-4 SU/1-5 ATS start to the season and have dropped three straight ATS.
The Vikings are 21-4 SU in their last 25 games as the favorite and 7-1-2 ATS in their last 10 road games. They are also 5-1 SU/ATS in their last six games and 5-2 SU/5-1-1 ATS in their last seven games against the Rams.
On the other side of Thursday’s matchup, the Rams are only 5-19 SU in their last 24 as the underdog but 7-3 ATS in their last 10 as home dogs. They are also 5-1 ATS in their last six Thursday games and 6-1 SU in their last seven home games. It has been a rough start to the season for the Rams, though, but they’ll hope that getting Cooper Kupp (ankle) and possibly Puka Nacua (knee) back in their offense helps them get back on track.
The over is 8-1 in the Rams’ last nine home games against the Vikings and 10-4 in the last 14 games in this head-to-head matchup. The over is also 5-1 in Minnesota’s last six Thursday games, but the under is 4-2 in its last six games overall.
Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns

In the early window on Sunday, the Browns host the Ravens to begin the Jameis Winston era after losing SU/ATS to the Bengals last week and also losing Deshaun Watson (Achilles) for the season. The Browns are just 1-6 SU/2-5 ATS this season while the Ravens have bounced back from an 0-2 SU/ATS start to enter this matchup 5-2 SU/4-3 ATS.
The Ravens got a SU/ATS last Monday night against the Buccaneers and are 5-0 SU/4-1 ATS in their last five after that rough start to the season. They are 12-5 SU in their last 17 games against the Browns and 6-3 ATS in their last nine meetings. They have been even better ATS when visiting Cleveland, going an impressive 13-3 ATS in their last 16 visits to their division rival and 13-7 ATS in their last 20 conference games. Baltimore is also 6-0 SU in their last six games in October and 11-2 SU in its last 13 games as the favorite.
The trends are definitely not going in the Browns’ favor, but they’ll hope a new QB can help reverse that. Cleveland still hasn’t scored more than 18 points in a game and has gone under their team total in every contest this season. The Browns are only 3-13 ATS in their last 16 home games against the Ravens and 2-4 ATS in their last six divisional matchups.
The under is 11-4 in the Browns’ last 15 home games and 10-5 in the last 15 head-to-head matchups between these teams. However, the over is 6-1 in the Ravens’ seven games this year and 5-0 in their last five road games.
Chicago Bears at Washington Commanders

These Bears are coming back from their bye week after going 3-0 SU/ATS with nice wins over the Rams, Panthers, and Jags before their week off. They’ll face the 5-2 SU/5-1-1 Commanders, who comfortably crushed Carolina last week despite losing Jayden Daniels early in the game to a rib injury.
Caleb Williams has been excellent in the Bears’ recent win streak, and the No. 1 pick from last year’s draft will look to keep rolling this week in D.C. His Bears are 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 games and 7-1 ATS in their last eight vs. the NFC. They are only 1-4 SU in their last five games vs. the NFC East, though, and just 5-10 SU in their last 15 games played in October.
The Commanders may have to turn to Marcus Mariota, but the veteran looked solid last week against the Panthers. Washington is 12-4 ATS in its last 16 games vs. Chicago and 8-2 SU in the last 10 head-to-head matchups. However, the Commanders are only 3-9 SU in their last 12 games vs. the NVC and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 as the favorite.
The over is 4-1 in Washington’s last five games and 6-1 in the last seven meetings between these teams in Washington. On the other hand, the under is 5-0 in the Bears’ last five road games.
Dallas Cowboys at San Francisco 49ers

This classic NFC matchup on Sunday Night Football comes at a critical time for both teams. The Cowboys return from their bye week after a brutal, 47-9 defeat by the Lions in Week 6 dropped them to 3-3 SU/2-4 ATS start. The 49ers are also struggling at 3-4 SU/3-4 ATS after losing last week’s Super Bowl rematch vs. the Chiefs.
The Cowboys are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games after a bye week but only 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games as underdogs. Dallas is 1-5 ATS in their last six games vs. the NFC but 4-1 SU in its last five road games. The Cowboys are also 12-3 ATS in their last 15 games in October but only 3-8 ATS in their last 11 overall.
Just like the Cowboys, the 49ers are also 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall. They are also only 2-9 ATS in their last 11 home games and 1-5 SU in their last six games played in October. In their favor, they are 8-1 SU in their last nine games vs. the NFC East.
The over is 11-4 in the Cowboys’ last 15 conference games and 6-3 in the 49ers’ last nine games overall. The over is also 4-2 in the last six meetings between these teams in San Francisco.
New York Giants at Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers made a bold move at quarterback last week, benching Justin Fields despite a 4-2 record and going with veteran Russell Wilson. Wilson played well and helped the Steelers get a SU/ATS win over the Jets to improve to 5-2 SU/5-2 ATS this season. The Giants were on the other side of a blowout, getting crushed by the Eagles as they fell to 2-5 SU/3-4 ATS after their 28-3 home loss.
The Giants are only 3-8 SU in their last 11 games and 3-7 SU in their last 10 road games. They are also 1-9 SU in their last 10 games played on Monday and 0-7 in the last seven years during Week 8.
Pittsburgh is an unreal 21-1 in its last 22 Monday Night Football home games. The Steelers are also 8-3 SU/ATS in their last 11 games but only 2-5 SU in their last seven home games against the Giants.
The under is 16-6 in the Giants’ last 22 games and 7-1 in their last eight games. The under is also 8-3 in the Steelers’ last 11 games in October and 5-2 in their last seven games against an opponent from the NFC East.
