Jokic, Wembanyama, Tatum, Brown, Celtics 3-Pointers: Analysis on the Most Bet NBA Player Props on DraftKings

This is a new article here on DK Network to hopefully give the bettors a look behind the book at the most heavily bet NBA player props of the night by ticket count. It indicates which props bettors are most interested in for that slate of games, and I’ll try and offer some analysis as to why (or analysis as to why you should be careful). Please keep in mind that betting the NBA is an ever changing market, and that injury news closer to tip could always take one of these players off the board, or change other props that become more heavily bet close to tipoff.

Nikola Jokic Triple-Double: YES (+165) – Jokic is consistently right around a triple-double, so it makes sense why bettors are going after +165 as the most-bet prop of the night. Keep in mind, you might be better off settling standard juice on some of his other combo props. Joker had 25 triple-doubles in 79 regular season games last season, so playing this on a nightly basis likely won’t wind up profitable. Pick your spots.

Victor Wembanyama Double-Double: YES (-270) – This one is likely being used in a lot of Same Game Parlays, or just as a parlay leg with other pieces. Wemby props should be insanely popular this season, and will be on the public’s tickets all season long. Wemby averaged a double-double as a rookie, and had 25 of them in his final 35 games.

Celtics 3-Point Props: Jayson Tatum OVER 3.5 (+114), Derrick White OVER 3.5 (+140), Jaylen Brown OVER 2.5 (+110)

The Celtics tied an NBA record with 29 made 3-pointers in their season opener against the Knicks. While we aren’t expecting that again, Boston projects to shoot a ton from downtown this season, and they have the shooters to put up monster numbers. On a short slate, the public is chasing another big night from beyond the arc for the C’s. I’d be a bit careful, not that I don’t think the Celtics will smash the Wizards, but some of these starters could be riding the bench late. Payton Pritchard is a guy I lost on against the Knicks, but was an unfortunate 1-for-9 from downtown. I don’t mind going back to someone like Pritchard for O1.5 triples in a matchup like this.
