Fresh off another fantastic campaign, the Serbian big man is clearly at the NBA’s apex. His betting lines are high, and for good reason — Joker is among the best hoopers on Earth.
In three games against the Thunder last season, Jokic averaged 23.7 points to go along with 10.0 boards and 8.0 assists. With the Thunder’s offseason acquisition Isaiah Hartenstein sidelined with a hand injury, Chet Holmgren is slated to be Jokic’s primary defender. It feels like one of those matchups where Joker can embrace the low post and play some good old-fashioned bully ball.
It will likely be a high-scoring matchup between two teams with championship aspirations. The game line is set at 226.
The over on Jokic’s 27.5 points line is set at -115. While Holmgren is a great defender, Jokic excels against pretty much every opposing center in the league. Sure, 27.5 is a bit high, but the Nuggets will probably look to feed their superstar out of the gate.
Another potentially nice value is over 13.5 rebounds for the big man, currently set at +100. Jokic exceeded this mark in 32 appearances last year, and with only one player taller than 6-foot-9 available to play for Oklahoma City, Jokic may dominate the boards.
