Just like Michael Jordan — I’m back.
Let’s get ready for another basketball season chalked full of value plays on DraftKings. Tonight, we’ve got a massive 10-game slate to sink our teeth into, so let’s not waste any more precious time.
Here are some underpriced assets I’m zeroing in on this evening.

SG/SF Gradey Dick, Toronto Raptors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers, $4,700
For people that weren’t watching the Raptors after the trade deadline last season — and that will likely be most of you — Dick is still just the guy with a funny name who wore an insane jacket on Draft night. However, Dick showed real promise in the 17 starts he made down the stretch of his rookie campaign, averaging 13.2 points and 2.5 rebounds per game in 31.5 minutes. Those were often nights where Scottie Barnes ($8,900) and Immanuel Quickley ($7,200) were unavailable, the two players that will almost surely lead Toronto in usage this season, but Wednesday’s incarnation of the Raptors will already be without RJ Barrett (shoulder) and Bruce Brown (knee) on the wing. There will be plenty of minutes and shot volume for the sophomore. Expect Dick to start and be a focal point of Toronto’s offensive attack.
SF/PF KJ Martin, Philadelphia 76ers vs. Milwaukee Bucks, $3,800
To be clear, there’s levels of safety when it comes to the 76ers’ value options. Obviously there’s going to be a lot of usage and a lot of shots up for grabs with both Joel Embiid (rest) and Paul George (knee) sidelined, but finding a sure thing beyond Tyrese Maxey ($9,000) and Andre Drummond ($7,000) might prove difficult given the current uncertainty of the team’s rotation. For instance, I’m not even 100% KJ Martin is the player named “Martin” with the highest floor — that would likely be Caleb Martin ($5,000). Still, KJ is significantly cheaper than his teammate and it was he, not Caleb, that started Philadelphia’s final preseason contest against the Magic. If KJ starts again on Wednesday, it’ll be difficult to ignore him at this price. I’d also keep an eye on Guerschon Yabusele ($3,000) at the bare minimum.
C Nick Richards, Charlotte Hornets at Houston Rockets, $4,000
I just can’t say no to a starting center with a salary this low. In a vacuum, Richards is really nothing special as a DFS asset. He started 51 games for the Hornets last season with Mark Williams (foot) banged up, averaging 10.1 points and 8.8 rebounds per contest. Per 36, Richards put up 13.3 points, 11.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 2023-24. Pretty standard stuff for a big man with that much runway. However, when you look back, Richards’ price tag was consistently over $5K when all this was happening. Take advantage of the huge discount for Charlotte’s opening game, even if Richards’ ceiling isn’t likely more than 7x or 8x value.
