DraftKings Showdown Value Picks
Jalen Nailor ($6,200)
Despite being the clear-cut third wide receiver on the depth chart, Jalen Nailor is still finding ways to make an impact. The Michigan State product has primarily been on special teams since getting drafted in the sixth round in 2022. He’s already amassed more yards in 2024 than in his first two years combined.
During the last outing against Detroit, Nailor played 73% of offensive snaps and finished second on the team in targets. His four catches for 76 yards were both season highs, and he looked comfortable as a primary option. The 25-year-old started the campaign finding the end zone in three consecutive contests but has yet to return. A trip across the Pylons could boost his fantasy floor, and he’s proven to have a good rapport with Sam Darnold in the red area.
Los Angeles has a shaky secondary prone to giving up chunk plays. If Kevin O’Connel keeps trotting out 11 personnel, Nailor will have as good of an opportunity as anyone in purple and gold to have a productive evening.
TuTu Atwell ($4,200)
With injuries ravaging the Rams’ receiving room, TuTu Atwell has stepped up and earned his uptick in workload. The speedster wideout is in its fourth year in Tinsel Town but has failed to have prolonged success after being a second-round pick. He’s a burner on the perimeter who can blow the top off a defense. In recent weeks, Atwell has also shown a nuance, doing his work near the sticks and garnering yards after the catch.
He’s coming off four straight performances with over five targets, including back-to-back contests with six receptions and 50+ yards. He’s better with the ball in his hands, and it seems like the LA staff is finally recognizing that. Even with Cooper Kupp set to return to the lineup, there’s plenty of looks to go around.
Minnesota is last in the league in allowing fantasy points to pass catchers, and Atwell should be a featured part of the aerial attack.
