UPDATE: Evans (hamstring) will not return Monday night against the Ravens.
Midway through the second quarter of the Buccaneers’ game against the Ravens, Mike Evans appeared to aggravate his hamstring on a deep end zone target that resulted in an incompletion. Evans remained on his back for over a minute, grabbing at his hamstring and exclaiming in pain. The medical staff attended to the injury before he limped off the field.
Evans came into the game with a questionable designation after injuring his hamstring—presumably the same one he’s nursing now —in the Bucs’ Week 6 game against the New Orleans Saints.
Earlier in the game, Mike Evans caught his 100th career touchdown pass from Baker Mayfield. He is one of eleven players of all time to do so. His absence in the Tampa Bay passing game cannot be understated.
