What happened to DK Metcalf? Live injury updates for NFL Week 7

Updated:

By: Sean Barnard

The injury bug has been active across the NFL in Week 7, hasn’t it? Seahawks WR DK Metcalf is the latest name added to the list.

MONDAY UPDATE: ESPN’s Adam Schefter announced that Seahawks WR DK Metcalf suffered a Grade 1 MCL sprain and would be considered week-to-week.

Seattle’s star pass-catcher suffered a knee injury in the second half of the Seahawks matchup with the Atlanta Falcons. He is currently listed as questionable to return but also was carted to the lockerroom to get looked at further.

The Seahawks hold a 31-14 lead over the Falcons at the time of the injury so it would not be a surprise if he is kept out even if it is just for precautionary reasons. Metcalf had tallied four receptions for 99 yards and a touchdown before suffering the injury.

If this is to be an issue moving forward, this would lead to an increase in targets for Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Tyler Lockett.

We’ll provide more updates here on Metcalf as the team releases them.
