Jaylen Wright ($5,200)
The last time we saw Jaylen Wright, he ran circles around New England defenders en route to his best performance since turning pro. The rookie out of Louisville fits the Dolphins’ profile of an ideal rusher: a track star with the rock in his hands. With 4.38 speed, it was only a matter of time before coach Mike McDaniel schemed the 21-year-old into the fold, but injuries higher on the depth chart supercharged his volume.
In his last contest, Wright turned his 13 carries into 86 yards, looking physical between the tackles and accelerating past the first level. His fantasy day was limited due to full-back Alec Ingold punching in a goalline carry in the fourth and seeing no action in the receiving game. With the Vols in 2023, Wright had plenty of looks as a pass catcher and showed it’s a developing part of his arsenal.
The bye week gave Miami runners valuable time to get healthy, but Wright has earned touches in this offense. Expect his workload to keep steadily increasing, and a matchup against a disastrous Indianapolis front seven is a perfect spot to ride the wave.
Dalton Schultz ($4,200)
The Dalton Schultz campaign continues, as the results on the field continue to defy logic. The veteran tight end has had four straight outings with over five targets but hasn’t eclipsed 40 yards. With Nico Collins on the shelf, the opportunities are there—Schultz has yet to fully take advantage.
Houston is third in the league in completions, and even with a healthy Joe Mixon ($7,200), the club will continue to air it out. Schultz is a sneaky, excellent route runner, and even though he hasn’t been at his best, he shows plenty of signs of emerging from this slump.
Green Bay allows the most catches in the NFL to opposing tight ends, which means Schultz will be involved. Add in the fact he’s due for positive touchdown progression, and it feels like the perfect storm to toss him into your lineup.
Tim Patrick ($3,000)
For some reason, Denver thought cutting bait with Tim Patrick was a good idea for their receiver room—the people of Detroit should be thrilled with that awful analysis. His constant injuries have railroaded a once-promising career, but the former Ute is showing flashes of a revival in the Motor City.
Offensive Coordinator Ben Johnson has leaned into more 11-personnel sets, which has helped WR3 Patrick be a more formidable threat. He was inches away from crossing the goalline in his last showing and seems to be reverting back to 2021 form. Minnesota creates havoc up front, but its secondary is among the worst in the sport, which gives Patrick a chance to have a monster afternoon.
